Craving Lucky Charms? The shamrock float recipe enchants kids, adults, and even leprechauns. It is so easy you can make it in batches or for one glass.
Shamrock Float Recipe
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
FOR THE PUNCH
1 gallon of Lime Sherbet
1 liter of Ginger ale
2 cups pineapple juice (optional)
FOR THE GARNISH
1 cup of Lucky Charms
Homemade Whipped Cream W/ Mixer or Whisk:
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
2 teaspoons Sugar
*Using a 0.5 L (1 US Pint) Whipped Cream Dispenser:
2 cups heavy cream
1 tbsp. powdered sugar
4 tbsp. vanilla extract
Dissolve the sugar & vanilla extract in the cream so that there are no lumps. Pour into the Whipper & close. Screw on one cream charger and shake vigorously 2–3 times. Pipe large dollops on each glass.
In a large batter bowl, scoop half the ice cream gallon and set it aside for 3-5 minutes until softened.
Stir sherbet in the bowl and mix in about 3.5-4 cups of Ginger Ale. Set in refrigerator. If you are using larger stemless glasses use the whole liter.
Mix up the whipped cream: With an electric mixer or balloon whisk, whip the whipped cream ingredients until doubled in volume & soft peaks have formed. Make sure to not over whip. Add the cream to a piping bag with a tip.
Place two scoops of lime sherbet into each glass. Pour the ginger ale/sherbet mix over the sherbet scoop until about ¾ of an inch from the top.
Pipe a large dollop of whipped cream on each of the glasses. Place a handful of lucky charms marshmallows and cereal on top. Serve!
