Nothing quite says football season like a bucket of chicken wings! Which is why we are sharing one of our wings recipe! This wings recipe can be baked at home, or thrown on the grill at the game! To grill, place wings over indirect heat for 25-30 minutes until the meat is browned and no longer pink. Toss with sauce and enjoy!
Baked Honey BBQ Wings Recipe
Makes: 8 servings
Total Time: 1 hour
• 3 lbs chicken wings
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• ½ teaspoon onion powder
• ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
• ½ teaspoon cumin
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper
• 1 ½ cups of your favorite BBQ sauce
• ¼ cup honey
• 2 tablespoons stone ground mustard
• 2 teaspoons hot sauce
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil then place an oven safe
cooling rack inside the baking sheet. Lightly coat the rack with nonstick spray. If you don’t have
a baking sheet/rack combo, line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
Add chicken to a large bowl and pat dry. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons olive oil.
Combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cumin, salt and pepper in a small bowl and mix.
Sprinkle over chicken and toss to coat.
Place chicken on prepared baking sheet with rack or parchment.
Bake for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through. After 40 minutes turn the broiler on high. Place
under the broiler for 6-8 minutes, until browned.
To make the sauce, bring bbq sauce, honey, mustard and hot sauce to a simmer over medium
heat. Stir and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Remove wings from oven and place in a large bowl. Pour the sauce over the wings and toss
with a pair of tongs to coat.
