|A ghost cheeseburger recipe might not be the first thing you think of with Halloween, but it is an easy crowd-pleaser. Dress the burgers up as vampires and ghouls and you’ll have a filling meal for your little monsters. Use pre-made patties if you are in a time crunch. Make it vegetarian with black bean patties. Either way, they will be ghoulishly good!|
Ghost Cheeseburger Recipe
For the Patties
2 Pounds of Ground Beef
2 tsp of Pepper
1 tsp of salt
2 1/2 tbs of Dijon Mustard
2 1/2 tbs of Worcestershire Sauce
For the Burger
8 Hamburger Buns
16 Slices of Havarti
(or your favorite white cheese)
1 Jar of sliced long pickles
Bottle of ketchup
1 cup Dijon Mustard
Heat up your skillet or grill pan to medium high. In a mixing bowl, gently combine the ground beef, Dijon Mustard, Worcestershire Sauce, salt and pepper with your hands.
Gently form 8 patties with the mixture and cook each patty on the heated pan. Each side should take about 3 minutes depending on the thickness.
While cooking, cut out three small triangles on the cheese slices edge to form the teeth (See below). Slather Dijon mustard on the bottom half of the buns and add lettuce, tomatoes, and onions if you want.
Once the patties have cooked thoroughly, place the patties on the bottom bun half on top of the condiments. Place the pickles slightly sticking out of the buns to look light tongues.
Place the cut out cheese slices on top of the pickles with the point side facing outwards.
Squeeze the ketchup on top of the cheese and let it spill over a little.
Place the top buns on top of the ketchup patties. Attach 16 olives on the end of toothpicks, and stick two olive toothpicks into each bun. Serve and enjoy!
