Egg and Cheese Hash-Brown Waffles

All you need is a waffle maker, shredded hash-browns, eggs, milk and shredded cheese to make these delicious hash-brown waffles.


1 bag of shredded hash browns (refrigerated not frozen) or shred 2 russet potatoes
3 eggs
1/4 cup of milk
1 cup of cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp of salt & pepper
1/2 cup of sour cream, ketchup, ranch, or hollandaise sauce for serving
Optional Toppings:
sautéed mushrooms
fried chicken
fried egg


Heat up the waffle iron (medium to high heat) and coat with non-stick spray or butter.

In a mixing bowl stir in the eggs, milk, shredded potatoes, cheese, 1/2 teaspoon of salt and pepper.

Scoop around 1/2 cup of the mixture onto the surface of the waffle griddle. Make sure not to get too close to the edge, or it will spill out.

Cook until waffles are brown, about 5-7 minutes. Check every couple minutes to make sure not burning.

Season with a little more salt and a sprinkle of cheese once golden and onto a separate dish. Serve stacked, or with a skewer. Set out sour cream, ketchup, ranch or hollandaise sauce for dipping and garnish. Add additional toppings if wanted.
