Whether you’re a seasoned chef or just learning your way around the kitchen, we take pride in serving as an educational resource for foodies of all skill levels. We offer a variety of cooking classes for adults and children, wine tastings, appliance education classes and host private events. In addition, our team is happy to answer any foodie questions you may have.

What does it include?

Our hands-on classes typically include a meal, two glasses of wine and recipes, though this varies depending on the may vary depending on the chef and theme theme of the class. Please carefully review course descriptions for notes on any deviations.

What if I have food allergies?

We will make every effort to accommodate dietary allergies. If you have any food sensitivities, please notify us as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all requests, but we will discuss all requests with our chefs beforehand.

What is your cancellation policy?

Reservations must be cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the class. No refund will be issued if if less than 48 hour notice is given.

Chinese Authentic Stir Fry Cooking Class

Tuesday, March 19th  6 – 8  PM

In this hands on class you will learn the basics of authentic Chinese stir fry. You will work with Chef Me Li creating a menu of Jiangxi Farmer Style Cauliflower with Bacon, Wuhan Tahini Noodles, Di San Xian (Three Earth Flavors). Not only will you experience this authentic Chinese stir fry, but Chef Mei will share stories and the Chinese culture with us. Two glasses of wine along with other beverages will be served with your meal. Classes are informal, dress comfortable, and be prepared for a great evening out. Sushi Making Class

Wednesday, March 20th  6 – 7:30  PM

In this hands-on class Chef Yama will teach you the basics of sushi making. You will make 3 rolls and will learn the difference in authentic Japanese sushi verses traditional American sushi. Two varieties of Saki along with other beverages will be provided. Two glasses of wine will be provided along with other beverages. Classes are informal, dress casual, and be prepared to have a fun night out. $45/person

Hester & Cook Spring Table Workshop

Saturday, March 23rd  11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Join us for a Spring themed “how to” on setting your table! Hosted by Angie Cook, Co-Owner of Hester & Cook. Angie has years of experience and will walk you through the basics and help you design a stunning table scene using a mix of your own china and Hester & Cook products. We welcome you to bring a piece or setting of your china and be prepared to learn! Limited spaces are available. Classes are free of charge but there is a $10.00 sign up fee that will be returned to you in a gift card for any purchase on the day of the event.
Cocktails, light snacks, and a goodie bag will be provided.

Crepes Florentine Class

Monday, March 25th  6 – 8  PM

In this fun, hands on class you will learn the art of crepe making. Chef Sandra will share tips on creating crepes florentine. Spring Cookie Decorating Class

Chef Dana is a artist when it comes to cookie decorating! She will be sharing with you the art of cooking decorating from getting your icing the right consistency to piping and outlining your cookie – you will create several “masterpieces” that will delight your family and friends. Southernized & Countryfied Cooking Class

Thursday, March 28th  6 – 8  PM

 

Chef Gee is back with his version of “Southernized & Countryfied” cooking. Chef will share with us his talent in the kitchen by creating a menu that would take the most sophisticated person and have them turning down caviar for his mouth watering mac and chez bites! Along with that he will show us how to create delicious shrimp and grits and grilled pound cake with Spring berry compote. Classes are hands-on and a full meal will be served. Gourmet Foodie Easter Meal Cooking Class

Tuesday, April 2nd  6 – 8  PM

 

In this gourmet foodie class Chef Lonnie will show us how to create a meal fit for a King! Your friends and family will be amazed when you recreate this meal for your Easter celebration. Chef will walk you through the steps of preparing a meal with carrot soup, roasted Lamb, mint jelly w/ roasted potatoes, asparagus, and hummingbird cupcakes. Cake Decorating (4 week course)

Thursdays in April (4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th)

 

This in depth set of classes will build on what you have learned in our Cake Decorating 101 class. You will learn how to decorate cakes and cupcakes with different Buttercream icing techniques. Learn how to master your buttercream icing consistency, color the icing, and how to assemble your decorating bags and tips. We will teach you how to prep your cake to ensure a good base for the icing and decorations. Cupcakes are a fun way to celebrate special occasions so we will teach a few different designs that will take your cupcakes to the next level. We will teach you how to achieve both traditional and modern designs with several different piping elements such as polk-a-dots, shapes and fancy scroll work with impressive results. These classes will conclude with buttercream flowers and these easy simple-to-pipe flowers will be a beautiful addition to all your cakes and cupcakes. $165.00/ 4 week series

Tuscan Cooking Class

In this hands-on class Chef Sandra will take us to the Tuscan region of Italy where you will recreate some of Tuscany’s finest cuisine. Menu for the evening to include Mushroom & fontina tart, Balsamic tomato slow cooked pork shoulder, Creamy parmesan polenta, Citrus gelato w/ semi freddo in a lemon shell. Kids Only Cupcake Decorating Class

Saturday April 13th 10 AM – 12 PM

 

In this hands-on class your child will be making vanilla cupcakes with butter cream icing. They will be introduced to the art of decorating with piping bags. Each child will decorate 6 cupcakes to take home to, maybe, share with family! Cost for this class is $30/child

Sauces 101 Class

Tuesday April 30th 6-8 PM

 

A great sauce can add so much to a ordinary meal. In this class you will learn basic sauce making skills. We will cover 4 different sauces beginning with a basic meat sauce using what you may find in your refrigerator, a Bearnaise sauce to spruce up that steak or veggie side, Alfredo sauce for the Italian in all of us, and of course the classic Picatto. You will be served a generous tasting of each of these sauces along with meats and veggies that go with each. Two glasses of wine along with other beverages will be served with your meal. Pasta Making Class

Monday April 15th 6-8 PM

 

This class is for the pasta lover in all of us. Come and see how easy it is to make your own fresh pasta. You’ll never go back to the boxed stuff again! Chef Mary Katherine will help you create a meal of Homemade Ricotta, Stuffed Ravioli, Spaghetti Carbonara, and Fried Ravioli w/ Chocolate Filling. Indian Cuisine Cooking Class

Le Creuset Cooking Class

Tuesday May 14th 6-8 PM

 

This class is available to all who purchased Le Creuset Cast Iron during the Holidays. Chef Cynthia will be demonstrating how to cook with your new Le Creuset. A complete meal will be prepared using various Le Creuset pieces. We will also have a Le Creuset representative on hand to answer any questions you may have concerning the brand. Class will be open to the public for sign up on March 28 at a cost of $45/person.

Greek Cooking Class

Learn the secrets of Greek cooking with Chef Justin Theodour in this hands on cooking class. Chef Justin will guide you through creating a meal of Greek salad with Sanganaki, Pastitsio w/ bechamel topping, and to finish up we will create a delicious Baklava. New Orleans Cooking Class
Thursday May 23rd 6-8 PM

Close your eyes and head to the French Quarter with us! Low Country meets New Orleans in this hands on class taught by Chef Gee. In this hands on class you will be guided by Chef as together you create a menu of “Nawlins” Shrimp Tacos, Jambalaya Risotto, and Macerated Berries and Cream . Grilling Skills Class (part 1)
Tuesday May 28th 6-8 PM

In this grilling skills class (part one) we will cover how to prepare and grill the perfect steak, prepare and grill the juiciest pork chops using the sous vide, grilled asparagus wrapped with prosciutto and lemon olive oil, and to finish we will be grilling donuts with a berry sauce.
