Football season is here and that means a fun time to experiment with new (and delicious) appetizer snacks for your crowd. Next game, whip up this Bacon Stuffed Mushroom Hot Bites Recipe. Bacon and mushrooms? Sounds like a touchdown to me.
1 package Wind & Willow Bacon Stuffed Mushroom Appetizer Mix
1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
2 4 tbs butter, softened
1 loaf of white sandwich bread
Pre-heat oven to 425.
Combine Wind & Willow Bacon Stuffed Mushroom mix with cream cheese and butter.
Trim crust off 12 slices of bread and cut into 2 equal strips.
Spread each strip with 1 TBS of cream cheese mixture. R
oll from short end up and wrap in piece of bacon trimmed so as to not overlap around bread, covering open ends and secure with toothpick.
Bake for approx. 10 mins or until bacon is done.
Optional: You could also stuff into cherry tomatoes and the core of a cucumber, then cut into slices.
